Custom Jacket Size Chart: Windbreaker, Raglan and Regular Fits

Custom jacket size chart — windbreaker, raglan and regular fit measurements in cm and inches

Read this before anything else on the page: our three jacket charts are not graded to the same wearer. A windbreaker XS is cut for someone 160–165 cm tall. A raglan jacket XS is cut for someone 170–175 cm tall. That is two full size labels apart on the same word. If you order a windbreaker and a raglan jacket for the same person using the same letter, one of them will be wrong.

This is not a mistake in the charts. A packable shell that goes over a hoodie and a raglan training jacket worn close to the body are different garments with different jobs, and grading them identically would make both worse. But it does mean the letter on the label is close to meaningless across styles, and you have to read the numbers. All figures below are published on our sportswear size chart, taken from finished garments, with a 1–3 cm manual measurement allowance.

Regular jacket size chart, EU sizing

This block is labelled with a Chinese fit code rather than a height band. The code reads as wearer height over wearer chest — 180/96A means a 180 cm wearer with a 96 cm body chest. That turns out to be extremely useful, and there is a shortcut further down that uses it.

The same letter, three different wearers

Here is the mismatch stated plainly. The row to read is your player’s height.

How the three published jacket blocks line up against wearer height.

So a 178 cm player is a windbreaker L, a raglan S and a regular jacket EU S. If you send us a squad list that just says “S”, we will ask which garment you mean, because the answer changes by two labels. Send heights and the problem disappears.

Two more consequences worth planning around. The windbreaker block is the only one that covers wearers under 170 cm, so it is the right starting point for a shorter squad or a women’s team. And the regular jacket is the only one that runs to 6XL, covering up to 215 cm, so it is the right starting point at the top of the range.

Three jackets, three shapes

Grading tells you who a garment fits. The taper tells you what it looks like on them. These three are genuinely different silhouettes, and the numbers show it clearly.

Derived from the published measurements above.

That windbreaker figure is the one people query. At a 180–185 cm wearer the windbreaker gives 124 cm of chest against the raglan’s 110 cm — 14 cm more room on the same body. It is not oversized by accident; it is a shell that has to close over a training top. If you want a windbreaker that sits close to the body, size down one label from the chart and expect to lose the layering allowance.

The regular jacket lets you calculate your own size

This is the most useful thing on the page if you are ordering staff or retail jackets rather than a squad. In the regular jacket block, the garment chest is exactly 16 cm larger than the body chest in the fit code, at every size from XS to 5XL: 88 to 104, 92 to 108, 96 to 112, 100 to 116, and so on. Only the top size breaks it, at 15 cm.

So you do not need the chart at all. Measure the wearer’s chest, add 16, and find that number in the garment chest row. A 98 cm chest wants a 114 cm garment, which sits between EU M and EU L — and now you know exactly how much room you are choosing when you pick one. No other block we publish holds a constant ease figure like that, which is why it is worth calling out.

The hem behaves the same way: it is 15 cm narrower than the chest at every single size, without exception. That constant is what produces the blouson shape, and it means the jacket will look the same on a 6XL as it does on an XS.

Raglan sleeve length is not comparable to a set-in sleeve

The raglan chart shows a sleeve length of 83.8 cm at XS rising to 97 cm at 3XL. Those are large numbers because a raglan sleeve has no shoulder seam — the measurement runs from the neck, across the shoulder and down to the cuff. A set-in sleeve on a regular jacket is measured from the shoulder point and will read roughly 20 cm shorter for the same arm.

If you are comparing our raglan against another supplier’s jacket, check which method they used before you conclude anything. The raglan sleeve also grades at a very fine 2.2 cm per size while the body length grades at 2 cm and then slows to 1 cm above L, so on the larger sizes you are buying arm length more than body length.

Which chart applies to your order

  • Windbreakers and packable shells — use the windbreaker block. It is the only one graded below 170 cm and the only one with a real layering allowance.
  • Track jackets and warm-ups — the raglan block is the closest published match, because raglan construction is standard on warm-up tops.
  • Softshells, team and staff outerwear — the regular jacket block, and use the body chest plus 16 cm shortcut.
  • Anything with a fleece lining or a taped seam — tell us, because the lining eats into the chest measurement and we will confirm the finished figure in writing before production.
  • Women’s cuts — we have not published a women’s jacket block, and we are not going to estimate one here. We grade to your spec sheet at no extra charge, or we will send written pattern measurements before you order.

Custom sizing, minimums and lead times

  • Minimum order: 10 pieces per design, any mix of sizes.
  • Styles: windbreakers, softshells and track jackets, made in our own Xiamen factory.
  • Features: water-resistant and windproof fabrics, taped seams, waterproof zippers, fleece linings.
  • Customisation: full OEM/ODM of fabric, lining, zippers and trims; embroidery, print, contrast panels and private-label tags.
  • Custom grading: send your own spec sheet and we grade to it at no extra charge.
  • Bulk lead time: 20–25 days after sample approval — longer than a jersey, because jackets are multi-panel construction with hardware.
  • Tolerance: 1–3 cm on any measurement, 1–2 cm on the windbreaker block.

One planning note specific to this category. Jackets take 20–25 days in bulk against 15–20 for jerseys, and they are usually ordered for the coldest part of the season, which is the busiest part of our year. If your jackets need to arrive for a winter season, start the sample five to six weeks earlier than you would for a jersey order.

Frequently asked questions

Why is your windbreaker XS smaller than your raglan jacket XS?

Because they are graded to different wearers. The windbreaker block starts at 160–165 cm and the raglan block starts at 170–175 cm, so the same letter sits two size labels apart. A 178 cm wearer is a windbreaker L and a raglan S. Order by height, not by letter.

What size jacket should I order for a 180 cm person?

It depends which jacket. At 180–185 cm you want a windbreaker XL (124 cm chest), a raglan M (110 cm chest) or a regular jacket in EU M, fit code 180/96A (112 cm chest). The windbreaker is deliberately 14 cm roomier because it is designed to go over other layers.

How do I work out my regular jacket size from my body measurements?

Measure your chest and add 16 cm. That total is the garment chest you want, and it holds at every size in the regular jacket block from XS through 5XL. A 100 cm body chest wants a 116 cm garment, which is EU L.

Why is the raglan sleeve length over 83 cm?

Because a raglan sleeve is measured from the neck rather than from the shoulder point — there is no shoulder seam to measure from. It is not comparable to a set-in sleeve figure, which would read roughly 20 cm shorter on the same arm.

Which jacket goes up to the largest size?

The regular jacket, which runs to EU 6XL with fit code 215/125A and a 140 cm garment chest. The raglan and windbreaker blocks both stop at 3XL, at 200–205 cm and 190–195 cm respectively.

Do you make women’s jackets?

Yes, but we have not published a women’s jacket size block and we will not put estimated numbers in a table. Send us your spec sheet and we grade to it at no extra charge, or ask us for written pattern measurements before you order.

Do fleece linings change the fit?

They reduce the usable room inside the shell, and the published chest is the finished garment measurement rather than the inside dimension. If your jacket is lined, tell us at quoting stage and we will confirm the finished chest in writing before production starts.

Where to go next

Every table we publish sits on the sportswear size chart. For styles, fabrics and features in this category, see custom outdoor jackets.

Other charts: soccer jerseys, basketball uniforms, baseball jerseys and youth soccer. Jackets carry some of the most complicated import duty of anything we make — water-resistant and coated shells are classified differently from ordinary woven jackets — so read shipping cost and import duty before you budget a jacket order.

All measurements on this page are taken from the size charts published on eliian.com and were last reviewed on 11 August 2026. Ask us for written pattern measurements before placing a bulk order.
