Short answer first. Our custom baseball jerseys are published as style 971, XS to 7XL — eleven sizes, the widest range of any chart on this site. The one thing that catches people out is that this chart is measured half, flat, not around. A chest figure of 57.5 for M means a garment that measures 115 cm all the way around. Double every chest, hem, sleeve width and sleeve opening figure before you compare it to anything else.
Everything below is taken from the table published on our sportswear size chart. These are garment measurements from the finished piece, with a 1–3 cm allowance for manual measurement.

Half-flat to full circumference, done for you
This is the conversion that prevents the most expensive mistake on a baseball order. If you are cross-shopping our chart against a US supplier that publishes chest as a full measurement, compare these numbers instead.
| Full circumference (cm) | XS | S | M | L | XL | 2XL | 3XL | 4XL | 5XL | 6XL | 7XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chest (around) | 105 | 110 | 115 | 120 | 125 | 130 | 135 | 140 | 145 | 150 | 155 |
| Hem (around) | 101 | 106 | 111 | 116 | 121 | 126 | 131 | 136 | 141 | 146 | 151 |
| Chest (around, in) | 41.3 | 43.3 | 45.3 | 47.2 | 49.2 | 51.2 | 53.1 | 55.1 | 57.1 | 59.1 | 61.0 |
| Body length (in) | 28.3 | 29.1 | 29.9 | 30.7 | 31.5 | 32.3 | 33.1 | 33.9 | 34.3 | 34.6 | 35.0 |
The hem is always exactly 4 cm narrower than the chest when measured around, at every one of the eleven sizes. That is a deliberate straight-body cut with a very slight taper — it is not a fitted shirt, and it is not a boxy one either.
How this chart is graded, and why it matters
The shoulder is the most reliable size indicator on the chart
Shoulder width climbs in a perfectly straight line: 43, 45, 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, 63. Exactly 2 cm per size, eleven times, with no exceptions. No other row in the chart is that consistent. If you have one measurement from a shirt that already fits a player, take the shoulder — it will point at the right size more accurately than the chest, because chest fit depends on how loose the wearer likes it and shoulder fit does not.
Above 4XL the jersey stops getting longer and only gets wider
Body length steps up 2 cm per size from XS through 4XL — 72, 74, 76, 78, 80, 82, 84, 86 — and then slows to 1 cm: 87, 88, 89. Chest keeps adding a full 5 cm around at every step. That is a big-and-tall grading decision, and it is the right one for the sport, but it has a consequence: a tall player who needs 6XL or 7XL for width will get a jersey that is only 3 cm longer than a 4XL. If you are ordering at the top of the range for someone who is tall rather than broad, ask us to add length. We grade to a customer spec sheet at no extra charge.
The collar barely changes across the whole range
Neck width moves 0.5 cm per size, from 20 cm at XS to 25 cm at 7XL. Across eleven sizes the collar opens by 5 cm while the chest opens by 50 cm. Front neck drop moves even less, from 14.5 to 16.5. In practice this means sizing up to get more room through the body will not give you a looser collar, so if neck fit is the problem, tell us — it needs a pattern change, not a bigger size.
Three details never change at all
Back neck drop stays at 2.5 cm, placket width at 3.5 cm and the sleeve and hem band at 2.5 cm across every size in the range. That is useful if you are designing artwork: the placket is the same width on a 7XL as on an XS, so a chest logo that clears the buttons on one size clears them on all of them.
Baseball, soccer and basketball at the same size label
All three charts are published on this site, so this comparison is checkable. Baseball chest figures are doubled here so they are on the same basis as the other two.
| Chest around (cm) | XS | S | M | L | XL | 2XL | 3XL | 4XL | 5XL | 6XL | 7XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Baseball jersey | 105 | 110 | 115 | 120 | 125 | 130 | 135 | 140 | 145 | 150 | 155 |
| Basketball jersey | 106 | 110 | 114 | 118 | 122 | 126 | 129 | 132 | 135 | 138 | — |
| Soccer jersey | 102 | 106 | 110 | 114 | 118 | 122 | 126 | 130 | 134 | 138 | — |
| Body length — baseball | 72 | 74 | 76 | 78 | 80 | 82 | 84 | 86 | 87 | 88 | 89 |
| Body length — basketball | 71 | 73 | 75 | 77 | 79 | 81 | 83 | 85 | 87 | 89 | — |
| Body length — soccer | 68 | 70 | 72 | 74 | 76 | 78 | 80 | 82 | 84 | 86 | — |
At XS the three sports are within 4 cm of each other. By 4XL the baseball jersey is 10 cm wider than the soccer one, and it keeps going for two more sizes after the others stop. Baseball grades 5 cm of chest per size against soccer’s 4 cm and basketball’s 4-then-3, which is why the gap opens up. The lesson for anyone ordering a mixed kit — baseball jerseys plus polos plus jackets — is that a player is not necessarily the same letter in every item, and the letters are not comparable across categories.
Button-down and pullover: does the size change?
We make both styles. The chart on this page is the short-sleeve button-down, style 971, and it is the only baseball block we currently publish. We are not going to tell you the pullover measures the same when we have not published the numbers to prove it. If you are ordering pullovers, ask us for that spec sheet and we will send it in writing before you commit — same as we do for any size we have not put on the site.
Pants, caps and belts are graded separately
A baseball uniform is rarely just the jersey. We add matching pants, caps and belts, but none of them follow the jersey chart — pants are graded on waist and inseam, and caps are sized on head circumference. Ask for those sheets alongside the jersey chart so you are not converting between two different systems on a deadline.
Sizing a roster without measuring everyone
Collect real sizes if you can. If you are ordering before a roster is finalised, the split below is a planning default rather than measured data, and we have said so on purpose. Baseball and slow-pitch softball rosters carry a wider spread of body types than most sports, which is exactly why this chart runs to 7XL.
| Size | Adult men (15) | Adult rec / softball (15) | Youth-to-adult crossover (15) |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 0 | 0 | 2 |
| S | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| M | 3 | 2 | 4 |
| L | 4 | 3 | 3 |
| XL | 4 | 4 | 2 |
| 2XL | 2 | 3 | 1 |
| 3XL | 1 | 2 | 0 |
Our minimum is 10 pieces per design, not 10 per size, so spreading a 15-piece order across seven sizes costs the same as fifteen pieces in one size. Player names and numbers are part of the print, so send a spreadsheet with name, number and size and there is no surcharge for the mix.

Frequently asked questions
Is the chest measurement on your baseball chart the full chest or half?
Half, measured with the garment laid flat. A chest figure of 60 for size L means the jersey measures 120 cm all the way around. This chart is the only adult top we publish on a half-flat basis, so double the chest, hem, sleeve width and sleeve opening before comparing it to any other chart.
What size baseball jersey equals a US adult large?
Our L measures 120 cm around the chest with a 78 cm body length and a 49 cm shoulder. Because these are European-graded patterns they run about one size smaller than a US domestic brand, so a buyer who takes L in a US retail label usually wants XL from us.
Which measurement should I trust if the chest and the length disagree?
The shoulder. It grades in exact 2 cm steps across all eleven sizes with no exceptions, and shoulder fit is not a matter of preference the way chest room is. Measure the shoulder seam to seam on a jersey the player already wears and match it to the chart.
Do you make baseball jerseys bigger than 7XL?
The published block stops at 7XL, which measures 155 cm around the chest. Beyond that we make a custom pattern to your spec sheet rather than extending the stock grade, and there is no extra charge for the grading itself.
Are the pullover jerseys the same measurements as the button-down?
We have only published the button-down block, style 971, so we are not going to claim the pullover matches it. Ask us for the pullover spec sheet and we will send the measurements in writing before you order.
Do the sizes above 4XL get longer as well as wider?
Barely. Body length steps 2 cm per size up to 4XL and then only 1 cm for 5XL, 6XL and 7XL, while the chest keeps adding 5 cm around at every step. If you need length rather than width at the top of the range, ask us to extend the body.
How accurate are these measurements?
Within 1–3 cm, which is the standard allowance for hand-measured cut-and-sew garments and is stated on every chart we publish. If one measurement is critical for your order, tell us which and we will hold a tighter tolerance on it.
