Eliian makes custom rugby jerseys, shorts and training kit in full dye-sublimation polyester, with a 10-piece minimum per design and delivery in 15–20 days after sample approval. Rugby is a contact code, so the two things we ask every club to specify in writing are stitch type at the shoulder and side seams, and the collar construction — those two decisions matter more to how long the shirt lasts than the fabric name on the quotation.
Custom Rugby Uniforms Built for Your Club
We manufacture rugby kit the same way we manufacture the rest of our team sportswear: your artwork is printed into the fabric by dye-sublimation before the panels are cut, so numbers, sponsor blocks and hoop stripes are part of the cloth rather than a layer sitting on top of it. For rugby that matters, because the parts of a shirt that get grabbed — the chest, the sleeve, the back number — are the parts that would peel first if the decoration were a heat transfer.
A club order usually covers a home shirt, an alternate shirt, shorts and a training top. Our minimum is 10 pieces per design, which means a squad can take two designs without being pushed into a 100-piece commitment, and a school or university can run separate 1st XV and 2nd XV colourways in the same production slot.
Why Order Custom Rugby Kit From Eliian
Fabric and Printing for Rugby Jerseys
Our standard team-sportswear base is moisture-wicking knitted polyester, printed by full dye-sublimation with unlimited colours and Pantone matching. Rugby buyers usually want a heavier, denser knit than a soccer jersey and a tighter body so there is less material for an opponent to hold. Both of those are specification decisions rather than catalogue decisions, so tell us the fabric weight in GSM and the body fit you want at enquiry stage and we will quote and sample against it. If you have a shirt you already like, sending it to us is faster than describing it.
Construction options worth naming on your purchase order: the seam type at the shoulder and armhole, whether the side seams are reinforced, the collar type (rib collar, self-fabric collar or a bound neck), and whether the shirt has a short button placket or a closed neck. We build to the specification you approve on the pre-production sample, so anything you want reinforced should be written down before the sample is cut, not after.
Complete Your Club Order
Clubs rarely order shirts alone. Alongside rugby kit we make custom soccer jerseys, custom basketball uniforms, custom polo shirts for coaches and committee, custom outdoor jackets for touchline and travel, and training and yoga wear. Brands and distributors can use our OEM and ODM services for private-label production. There is more about the plant on our about us page.

How to Order Your Custom Rugby Kit
Send your crest, colours, sponsor artwork and the quantity you need. Our design team returns a free digital mockup and a quotation within 24 hours. When you are happy with the mockup we cut a pre-production sample; when you approve that sample, bulk production runs in a typical 15–20 days. If your season starts in a fixed month, work backwards from the first fixture and add shipping time — and if your production would land in late January or February, read the Chinese New Year note in our shipping reference before you commit to a date.
Read the full buying guide first
If you are still deciding on fabric weight, fit or decoration method, our custom rugby jerseys buying guide works through the three specification lines that decide whether a shirt survives a season, what sublimation can and cannot fix, real price bands by quantity, and the import duty headings we have verified for the UK, EU, US, Canada and Australia. Every measurement we publish also sits on the size chart.
Custom Rugby Uniforms FAQ
What is the minimum order for custom rugby jerseys?
Ten pieces per design. A club can therefore order a home design and an alternate design in the same production run without meeting a large single-design minimum.
Can you make the shirt in a heavier, tighter rugby cut?
Yes, but treat it as a specification rather than a stock option. Give us a target fabric weight in GSM and either a fit description or a sample garment, and we will quote and sample to it. What you approve on the pre-production sample is what we build in bulk.
Are player names and numbers extra?
With dye-sublimation, per-player names and numbers are printed at the same time as the rest of the design, so individual naming does not add a separate decoration process the way stitched or applied lettering does. Confirm the charge on your quotation.
How long does production take?
Fifteen to twenty days after you approve the pre-production sample, plus shipping. Samples themselves usually take around a week. Add extra time if your slot falls near Chinese New Year.
Do you publish a rugby size chart?
Not yet. Our published adult blocks cover soccer, basketball, baseball, jackets and bottoms. For a rugby order we ask you to confirm which graded block the style is cut to, in writing, before bulk — we would rather do that than point you at a table that was graded for a different garment.
Ordering and delivery
Rugby kit ships worldwide by express courier, air or sea, with DDP door-to-door delivery available. Before you budget, our shipping cost and import duty reference sets out the HS headings for knitted tops and shorts, the duty rates we have verified for the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada and Australia, and how DDP and FOB change who pays what. Landed cost, not unit price, is the number to compare between suppliers.

Sizing
We have not published a rugby-specific graded block, and we are not going to reprint another sport’s table under a rugby heading. What we can tell you is that our published adult tops run from XS to 6XL or 7XL depending on the style, and that the difference between blocks is real: a basketball jersey is cut 3 cm longer than a soccer jersey at every single size, and a windbreaker XS is graded for a 160–165 cm wearer while a raglan jacket XS is graded for 170–175 cm. Every published table in centimetres and inches is on our sportswear size chart.
Practical advice for a club: order to measured chest and height, not to the label your players wore last season, and ask us to confirm the graded spec for your style in writing before bulk. A one-page graded spec attached to the purchase order is the cheapest insurance in the whole process.
